Eloise's Nursery

After being indecisive about how I wanted Eloise's nursery to look, I finally decided to make it a more grown up little girl room rather than a baby room. I took some ideas from Pinterest like the dresser/changing table set up and the rocking chair with the pouf. I am more of a minimalist type of person when it comes to things around the house- less is more! I hate clutter so notice the array of baskets in her room storing toys, books, diapers, etc. I wanted some pink in the room to give it a girlish touch but not excessive. It really is difficult to have a girl on the way while attempting to have no pink.

There are a few items in the room that were hand made by friends and family that I love so much and we will keep forever. The floral "E" on the shelf was made by my sister. It is adorable and really helps make the room feel bright.

The wooden sign "Eloise- sugar, spice, and motorbikes" was made my by step-sister. It is so fitting for us as we go to the desert to ride dirtbikes/drive trucks. I loved the colors she used because they go well with the rest of the room.

The arrows above her crib were made by her daddy as well as the two shelves. I made the "Eloise" sign which was used at the shower as well as the tissue tassel garland.  I'm not a fan of the placement of the name and tissue garland, but think I will just leave it up until we bring her home from the hospital.

I really love the canvas that reads "Eloise Mae" on this shelf because it is a special keepsake from the shower. We had each guest add their fingerprint to the tree branches- I love how it turned out! Also, note the vase full of headbands that were made at the shower as well.

These are prints I ordered from Etsy and were actually the first thing I bought for her room. It's where I got the room colors from and they really set the tone. Sweet and elegant with really pretty colors. The top reads "E is for Eloise" and the bottom reads "Love is Everything".

Last but not least- one of my favorites is her basket of books. We cannot wait to read these to her and see her one day picking out which ones she wants us to read that night. I am looking forward to seeing her book collection grow over the years! My favorite book- Guess How Much I Love You.

Well, there it is...Eloise's nursery! I hope she loves it just as much as I do.
